Self-custody means no one can undo a mistake

If you lose your recovery phrase, or someone else learns it, the funds in that wallet can be lost for good. There is no support line that can restore them. Store the phrase offline and never type it into a website or share it with anyone.

Scams target wallet owners

Fake support agents, look-alike apps and phishing links are the most common ways people lose crypto. No legitimate company will ever ask for your recovery phrase.

Devices and software can fail

Hardware wallets, phones and apps can break, be lost or have security flaws. Keep your backup up to date and install updates only from official sources.
